What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse, OP- Casual, Wexford position at UPMC?
UPMC Tri Rivers is hiring a casual LPN to join their Wexford office. This position will work 12-15 hours per week in a growing Rheumatology and Osteoporosis practice. This is a Monday-Friday, daylight position.
Responsibilities:
- Draw blood.
- Comply with the requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
- Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drip.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Assess the patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, and communicating physician advice/instructions.
Salary : $18 - $27
