What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse - Wellsboro Foot and Ankle position at UPMC?
UPMC is hiring for an LPN in our Foot and Ankle office in Wellsboro. This is a full-time position on day shift. Hours are Monday-Friday from 7:45am-4:15pm, 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm. Candidates may be expected to float between multiple offices. This position is eligible for a generous sign-on bonus listed below:
Sign-On Bonus Details:
· $7,500 sign-on bonus available for nurses with over one year of experience
· $5,000 sign-on bonus available for Graduate Nurses and nurses with less than one year of experience
Responsibilities:
- Draw blood.
- Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
- Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
Salary : $20 - $30
