SHIFT/HOURS:
Flexible hours with preferred availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Schedule varies based on surgical case load, with additional shifts available as needed for call-offs.
Responsibilities:
- Functions as a member of the healthcare team, using nursing judgment, knowledge, and experience.
- Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care through focused assessments.
- Communicates with licensed professionals when patient care needs exceed the LPN's scope or expertise.
- Seeks guidance and supervision when implementing new or unfamiliar procedures.
- Follows UPMC policies, LPN Practice Guidelines, and the State Practice Act.
- Collaborates to create a healing environment within the framework of Relationship-Based Care.
- Formulates and communicates individualized care plans and goals for patients.
- Provides comprehensive patient documentation and contributes to patient safety and satisfaction goals.
- Offers patient and family education, supporting care transitions and continuous professional improvement.
- Builds positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, and maintains a healthy work-life balance.
