The Department of Radiation Oncology at UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Medical Physicist to join our dedicated team of 1 Radiation Oncologist, 2 dosimetrists, 4 radiation therapists and 1 CT simulation therapist. UPMC Western Maryland offers state-of-the-art treatment on 2 Varian linacs (1 TrueBeam ,1 Trilogy and 1 PET/CT Sim unit), Eclipse treatment planning system with Aria record and verify database. A partial remote coverage can also be discussed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the work of dosimetrists to ensure accurate and personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist to plan and deliver patient treatments.
- Develop and direct quality control programs for equipment and procedures.
- Ensure equipment functionality by taking precise measurements of the radiation beam.
- Perform clinical physics duties, including maintaining Commonwealth regulatory compliance and calibrating all radiation therapy equipment.

- 1 PET/CT Simulation unit
