The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging at UPMC / University of Pittsburgh are recruiting an exceptional radiologist for the CHIEF, Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiology position in vibrant Pittsburgh, PA.

The Division of MSK is integral to the care of trauma patients, care of patients with complex hardware complications, athletes at all levels of skill, patients with arthritis, total joint replacements, as well as those with bone and soft tissue tumors. The Division provides consultative service for the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL), Pittsburgh Panthers (NCAA), and the athletic teams of the University of Pittsburgh , as well as local colleges and high schools. The MSK Division delivers outstanding interpretative services for MRI, CT and radiographic studies. Additionally, the Division provides services in MSK ultrasound, diagnostic and therapeutic joint injections, and superficial and deep bone and soft tissue biopsies.

  • Advanced Practice Providers and Reading Room Assistants are in place to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Position is primarily on-site with flexibility for hybrid.
  • Clinical and research relationships with other departments, including Orthopedic Surgery, Physical Therapy, Plastic Surgery, and Rheumatology create a dynamic and robust research environment.
  • Multidisciplinary conferences broaden the learning and teaching experience for our trainees and faculty.

  • Professional Qualifications :

    Education / Certification / Licensure

  • MD or DO degree or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited diagnostic radiology residency.
  • Completion of Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship Training.
  • Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
  • Membership on professional staff is desired.
  • Must be eligible for unrestricted licensure in Pennsylvania.
  • Professional Experience

  • Experience managing a clinical division, or equivalent level of operational experience preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience is required.
  • Demonstrated increasing level of responsibility in management, preferably in an academic setting or organization.
