This Monday–Friday role offers flexible daytime hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., with no weekends or holidays required, giving you the work-life balance you deserve. As a key part of our patient-focused team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our clinical staff, interacting with patients, and helping to ensure smooth daily operations.

In this role, there will be the opportunity to-
- Verify necessary information and records in the medical record and computerized scheduling system.
- Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule patient's appointments and relay necessary messages to staff and providers.
- Greet and register patients promptly and courteously, provide necessary instructions or directions, notify appropriate staff of patient arrival, and perform accurate check-in and check-out procedures.
- Maintain a clean, orderly waiting area, including beverage area and reading materials.
- Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments.
- Answer telephone, screens calls, take messages, and provide information.
- Maintain and update current information on physician's schedules, ensuring patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed.
- Complete necessary paperwork such as encounter forms and referrals, utilize the computer system to generate billing information, and answer patient questions regarding appointments and testing.
- Comply with all UPMC Health System policies and procedures and maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Utilize appropriate modules of the automated financial management system for scheduling, information verification, entering charges, co-payment collection and reconciliation, and other tasks.
Salary : $18 - $27
