Join Our Team as an Onsite Health Educator!
Are you passionate about health and wellness? We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team full-time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Note that the schedule may vary based on program and event needs, including occasional weekends.
Must be willing to travel. Depending on the screening season, up to 40% travel time will be expected.
We welcome applicants at all levels of the Health Educator career ladder. The final candidate will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based on their experience and education.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement, and teach health education and exercise programs to individuals and groups of all ages.
· Provide accurate information on current prices, policies, programs, and services to various target groups.
· Conduct fitness testing in accordance with established policies and procedures.
· Report program attendance for monthly statistical volume reports.
· Prescribe personalized exercise programs based on individual needs and abilities.
· Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment as per policies and procedures.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with medical staff, co-workers, supervisors, and others.
· Complete registration and enrollment for new members and class participants.
· Instruct members on proper exercise techniques and concepts; supervise workouts and conduct exercise classes for specific groups. Ensure safety and correct unsafe practices.
· Serve as a speaker for group presentations on wellness-related topics.
· Document all testing results, progress, and recommendations in member charts clearly and concisely. Make appropriate referrals to physicians and other departments based on abnormal results or identified risks.
· Assist in the development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
· Interpret and explain assessment results, providing recommendations for risk reduction and lifestyle improvements.
· Utilize time, materials, equipment, supplies, and resources efficiently and cost-effectively.
· Participate in the planning and implementation of health education activities and special events.
