UPMC is hiring a Full-Time, Paramedic Supervisor to support the station in York County.
Hours are 6am-6pm, rotating holidays and weekends.
Prefer someone with previous management experience. Must be a certified paramedic in PA.

- Liaison to a variety of Public Safety entities, hospitals, nursing homes and other customers as regards communications.
- Foster and promote professionalism within Life Team.
- Manages day to day emergency and non-emergency operations.
- Maintain schedules for all staff members in York County to ensure adequate coverage.
- Managing fleet operations for York County.
- Overseeing narcotics
- Supervise emergency medical staff consisting of EMTs, Paramedics, and Drivers.
- Provide both basic and advanced emergency medical services, care, and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.
- Reflects a positive attitude to the customer in a high stress environment at all times, with a clear understanding of who the customer is.
- Participates in scheduled and unscheduled outreach activities, representing the UPMC system.
- Provide advanced life support to critically ill or injured patients in adherence with established protocols and standards of care; assessing online medical command or other resources when appropriate.
- Participates in developing and completing research projects.
- Demonstrates competency related to pharmacological interventions.
- Performs daily equipment check (vehicle, medications).
- Completes all official documentation in a timely manner such as payroll, expense reports, orientation forms, etc.
- Demonstrates the ability to establish a rapport with customers; including the ability to create and sustain a positive relationship; regardless of circumstances, environment, or patient presentation.
- Always ensures patient and family confidentiality and dignity.
- Selects and uses personal protective equipment appropriate to the level of the anticipated hazard.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
Salary : $27 - $42
