What are the responsibilities and job description for the Performance Analyst, Associate- Hybrid position at UPMC?
This position supports disciplines and technologies such as business intelligence tools and methodologies, business implementation and project management skills, client account management, operations optimization, quality assurance, risk management, and modern technology to help exceed Client/UPMC business objectives. This position supports small to medium-scale tasks, projects, and initiatives, as well as easy to intermediate specification extractions of claims and performance data for reports, trends, and analysis.
This position will work a hybrid structure reporting into the office as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate basic competency in SQL and SharePoint Software, within targeted timeframe. Use the technology to support assigned projects/initiatives/tasks.
- Successfully manage projects/initiatives, providing thorough, accurate, and quality outcomes within designated deadlines using effective prioritization, and time management.
- Identify areas of concern that may compromise customer satisfaction through data analysis, research, testing, and propose solutions based on findings, expertise, and research.
- Serve as claim production operation/product knowledge expert. May also serve as a TPA Claim liaison to clients and internal departments. This includes supporting system transactional testing as needed.
- Keep Stakeholders abreast of issues/progress.
- Demonstrate high level of curiosity with the ability to keep abreast of all pertinent guidelines, products, regulatory, compliance, policy & procedures. Completes ongoing training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certification and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities.
- Thorough understanding of the Stakeholder performance expectations, department goals and objectives; and aligns responsibilities accordingly. Learn to demonstrate value added by capturing impact of work.
- Create and maintain the team department policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assists in the development of training materials and customer user guides. Assist with the creation of test plans and test scenarios.
