As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care by reviewing patient charts, performing initial assessments, developing treatment plans, administering physical therapy treatments, and monitoring progress. Your goal will be to increase overall functioning, reduce discomfort, and improve flexibility, range of motion, and strength.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate patient status to referring physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Serve as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students, residents, and fellows.
- Maintain professional licensure through ongoing education and professional development.
- Perform assessments, reassessments, and treatments, and supervise PTAs in treating patients of all ages.
- Develop and adjust care plans based on patient responses and status changes.
- Rotate through selected treatment areas as needed to meet organizational needs.
- Actively participate in staff meetings and in-service education programs.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all physical therapy services rendered.
- Provide home instructions to patients and their families.
- Schedule patients to maintain productivity while ensuring quality care.
