UPMC Hamot's Operating Room has opportunities for Registered Nurses to join their team in the Weekend Program! This program is considered full-time, granting access to full-time benefits. The role requires working 48 weekends per year, with shifts spanning from 7 pm on Friday to 7 am on Monday. The successful candidate will also be scheduled to work holidays that fall on weekends. Additionally, there’s a 25% differential on top of the base rate for participating in the Weekend Program (note that this differential applies only to weekend shifts; weekday shifts are compensated at the base rate).
We have a 17 suite operating room that offers wide variety of specialties from Robotics, Kidney Transplants, Trauma and almost everything in between. We provide high quality care for both our elective and urgent patients from infant to geriatrics. Responsibilities:

- Patient Care: Use the nursing process to create a healing environment. Set daily goals and care plans with patients, considering their holistic needs. Communicate effectively with other care providers and document patient information thoroughly. Aim to improve patient safety, quality, and satisfaction by aligning with organizational goals.
- Education: Teach patients, families, students, and new staff. Provide clear guidance to help patients transition through different care levels. Support the development of new staff and colleagues, and encourage continuous learning and feedback.
