The salary range for this position is $36.75 - $52.58. The hired candidate will be placed in the appropriate job title and pay scale based on the in experience within the career ladder.

Work Schedule: (7am -3:30pm) Considering rotating shift of 8am - 4pm, and/or 9am - 5pm. No holidays/weekends/call.
A typical day in the Professional Staff Nurse, OR position at UPMC Carlisle Surgery Center is characterized by variety and dynamic tasks. Here's a concise summary:
- Prepping the OR: Start by preparing the operating room for the day's cases.
- Patient Interactions: Engage in short, but meaningful interactions with patients.
- Assessments: Conduct procedure-specific assessments.
- Surgery Assistance: Assist with surgeries, either circulating or scrubbing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with anesthesia, perianesthesia, imaging, lab, and other departments.
- Focus Areas: Emphasize safety, quality, and efficiency throughout all tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Patient assessment.
- Documentation.
- Utilization of preference cards, knowledge and experience to learn/know procedures and surgeon preferences to anticipate the needs of the patients and surgical team (in the scrub role and circulator role).
- Translate learned skills to other facets of practice (e.g. using knowledge of how to scrub a procedure to better anticipate the needs of the team)
- *Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
