What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at UPMC?
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team! This individual will work independently with minimal supervision and will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the Community Behavioral Health sites in Altoona and Somerset, PA. They will collaborate closely with the clinical leadership team.
Occasional travel to Altoona and Somerset, PA will be required throughout the month. This is a hybrid position, with a mix of in-office work and the option to work from home 1-2 days per week (casual dress code).
Responsibilities:
- Prepares general ledger account reconciliations for designated accounts. Proposes correcting entries.
- Prepares and posts complex monthly journal entries.
- Prepares analysis for annual audit.
- Acts as a mentor for accountants or administrative staff.
- Acts a liaison for the department in meetings with management.
- Prepares reconciliation of actual to budget variance analysis.
- Develops administrative tasks, special projects and training programs as assigned.
Salary : $25 - $44
