UPMC Birmingham Clinic located in the Mercy Community Care Building in Pittsburgh, PA is hiring a full-time Senior Project Analyst to join their small, cohesive, and strong team of staff. In this position, you will primarily work Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be needed to attend community or group health education events. Some travel is required to Hillman Cancer Center and flexibility to work from home up to 1 day per week is provided based on business need.
The Senior Project Analyst will provide interpretation before, during, and after medical/office visit for Spanish-speaking patients in addition to translating documents and patient health information. You will also provide patient navigation and case management for patients being enrolled in the UPMC Hillman Community Cancer Screening Program, including but not limited to helping to schedule mammogram appointments, documenting patient enrollment, appointments, and test results in the UPMC Hillman, PA DOH, and Adagio Health tracking systems of MedIT and RedCap and answer patient inquiries and calls regarding these appointments.
The ideal candidate must want to work with vulnerable, un- and underinsured members of our community, have experience and/or willingness to work with a diverse patient population, and Spanish language proficiency, particularly medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Process report requests as needed by Manager and Directors.
- Perform complex project and data analysis as needed by Management.
- Recommend and implement process improvement initiatives within the department as well as implementing process improvement initiatives based on management decision.
- Assist Management in defining and documenting tasks and duties within department.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, this includes utilizing standard project documentation and methodology and project tracking and reporting procedures.
- Develops cross-functional, change management and implementation strategies, ensuring that all of the participating parties have committed to effective implementation of the processes and procedures.
- Provide concise and timely status reporting as required
- Develops and implements key metrics to measure and report on progress of initiatives.
- Assists team members in resolving project problems, escalates issues when necessary, and facilities decision-making.
- Identifies trends and process improvement opportunities across departments within Patient Care Services Division.
- Performs cost/benefit analysis
- Assures quality of information through business case and application level testing; validates test results to initial business needs
- Assist with achieving strategic goals.
- Works with other managers to achieve efficiencies across integration of projects.
- Manages initiative/process day-to-day administrative activities with little supervision
- Develops and manages specialized processes
- Trains and coordinates the daily activities of Project Analysts
- Serves as a knowledge expert to the Account Management Team relating to the EBS System, Excel and internal processes & procedures
