Seeking a Senior Peer Specialist to bring lived experience and serve as a vital member of our treatment team. This role provides non-clinical support and educates staff, modeling recovery values and principles. You'll help identify and address barriers to treatment, supporting individuals in both inpatient and outpatient programs.
Typically Monday - Friday
Day & Afternoon Shifts
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group skill-building in areas like problem-solving, money and time management.
- Mentor new peer specialists through onboarding, training, and facilitating wellness or recovery meetings.
- Advocate for consumers by contributing to treatment team meetings and promoting recovery goals.
- Share personal recovery experiences and demonstrate knowledge of Wellness Recovery Action Plans and other mental health tools.
- Offer community support by accompanying consumers to events and providing follow-up support in person or by phone.
- Guide consumers in setting and achieving recovery goals, identifying community resources, and developing natural supports.
- Serve as a peer resource by participating in committees and conferences.
- Complete all required documentation and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
Salary : $17 - $26
