We are looking for motivated and compassionate Student Behavioral Associates (SBA) to join our Child & Adolescent unit on a casual basis. In this hands-on role, you'll work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide vital medical and psychiatric care to patients. Position Specifics:
- Work Schedule: Casual position, primarily weekend shifts: day/evening/night weekends
- Will include rotating holidays.
- We are unable to work around extended holiday and summer breaks.
- Location: UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital (3811 O’Hara Street, 15213)
- Pay Rate: $18.00 (Set Rate)
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care & Assistance:
- Assists with physical care, clinical interventions & daily activities.
- Documentation & Communication:
- Document in medical records.
- Communicate with treatment team regarding patient observations & care.
- Safety & Crisis Management:
- Maintain a safe environment.
- Effectively manage crises using positive approaches.
- Team Participation & Environment Maintenance:
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
- Ensure a safe & clean milieu.
