As the foundation of our program, the Trauma Registry plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely data to support all aspects of trauma care. In this role, there is the opportunity to -
- Document data and attendance at continuing education programs to ensure ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrate commitment to excellence in trauma patient care by supporting service management objectives.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Trauma Program Manager, contributing to program success.
- Follow protocols for adding or removing patients from the trauma database to ensure accurate records.
- Identify trauma patients by monitoring Emergency and Admitting Departments on a daily basis.
- Engage in follow-up activities as needed to ensure accurate data tracking and management.
- Accurately maintain the computerized registry system by entering, correcting, and updating data as required.
- Contact the Trauma QA/Registry Coordinator for clarification or problem-solving regarding clinical data.
- Maintain the statistical database and generate routine monthly reports, responding to special requests.
- Attend and participate in Trauma Quality Improvement (QI) activities, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
