About the Role
Our Division of Adult Acute Care is the largest admitting group for the General Medicine service at UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore Hospitals. We provide expert, compassionate care to patients of all ages with a wide range of medical conditions.
Your Role
- Assist with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, toileting, ambulating, etc.).
- Perform vital signs checks, blood glucose monitoring, specimen collection, EKGs, and more.
- Work rotating shifts (day, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays).
Career Ladder & Qualifications
- Nursing Assistant: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Patient Care Technician: High school diploma 1 year of experience OR enrollment in a PT/OT/PA program OR a Bachelor's in health sciences.
- Senior/Specialist PCT: 2 years of experience OR 1 year PT/OT/PA program OR 1 year Bachelor's in health sciences.
- Lead PCT: 3 years of experience advanced patient care tasks.
