JOB TITLE: ATHLETIC SITE MANAGER - Spring, Jones
This is a seasonal supplemental, $1800 p/season.
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITY:
The Athletic Site Manager is directly responsible to the Middle Schools Athletic Director
GOAL:
The Athletic Site Manager will provide site support and supervision at home athletic events
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a seasonal contract consistent with the agreement negotiated with the applicable bargaining unit.
PERSONAL EVALUATION:
Evaluation will be based on the performance of responsibilities identified in this position description
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet weekly with the Athletic Director to develop a schedule which provides site management all home events as determined by the Athletic Director.
- Assist in setting up and taking down the equipment required for events on fields and/or in gymnasiums.
- Work with opponents and UAHS coaches to create game “pass list”.
- Greet the opposing teams and officials and direct them to the proper facility and/or locker room.
- Ensure all event staff have reported and are in designated areas.
- Gather signatures on contracts for officials and game day workers
- Turn on video board and assist volunteers in pre-game timeline (announcers, spotters etc) before contest starts.
- Collaborate with gameday productions to fufill sponsorship responsibilities.
- Update athletics social media twitter with game results.
- Provide visible supervision during event.
- Assist district athletes, coaches, and athletic trainers, as well as opposing teams, officials and spectators with any needs that arise related to the specific event being managed.
- Assist Athletic Director with office duties as needed for professional growth.
- Provide for a safe exit of officials, opposing teams, coaches and spectators from the contest facility.
- Perform additional duties related to event supervision as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment with the District.
