Position: Girl's Volleyball Coach
Location: Hastings Middle School
Description:
- Prior volleyball playing or coaching experience required
- Prior collegiate volleyball playing experience OR high school coaching experience preferred
- Must be available for daily practice 3:30-5:30 weekdays and 8:30-10:30 Saturdays
- Must be available to ride the bus to away matches. Buses usually leave around 4pm and return after the matches around 9pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a wide range of people and adjust coaching style based on the learning styles of the athletes
- Must value and display effort, communication, sportsmanship and fun
MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Marginal duties of this position include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Attends inservice training and staff meetings as needed.
- Sanitizes and cleans equipment.
- Inspects facilities and athletic courts for health and safety concerns.
- Chaperones/supervises athletic events, as needed

The work environment is a standard Volleyball court and other athletic event settings. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but occasionally high depending upon student population and activities. The employee is regularly exposed to wet/humid and/or outdoor weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to bodily fluids and/or blood borne pathogens.
