What are the responsibilities and job description for the COMPUTER-ASSISTED DRAFTING TEACHER position at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School?
Responsibilities:
- Instruct students in state approved vocational curricular frameworks
- Help students to develop an understanding of 3D modeling and recognition of an object in 3D space; apply 2D sketch geometry, rectangle, circle and dimensions; reinforce the understanding of 3D features that add and remove geometry; apply drawing standards to part and assembly drawings; create a drawing template
- Identify trends in software, curriculum, teaching strategies and other educational areas
- Introduce students to related CAD industry occupations
- Collaborate with program staff
- Participate in team meetings and in curriculum group meetings
- Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student progress, interpret results and share progress reports with other staff members and parents
- Maintain electronic records of student performance
- Manage administrative duties
- Communicate student progress with parents and guardians
- Support students in groups and individually towards completion of senior project
- Collaborate with co-op coordinator to develop partnerships with local businesses in order to support the development of a progressive model of internships and co-op placements
- Assist students in the participation of SkillsUSA events
- Provide differentiated instruction to special education students to assure completion of program requirements
- Develop and monitor work related experiences along with co-op coordinator
- Creatively provide and interdisciplinary course of study that incorporates state curricular frameworks
