This position will be responsible for:
- Providing guidance and support to students in planning their post-secondary education and career paths
- Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and other staff members to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support
- Developing and implementing programs to enhance student awareness of post-secondary opportunities
- Maintaining relationships with local colleges, universities, and other educational institutions to promote partnerships and resources
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
- Experience in counseling students or parents in planning for college, work, or other post-secondary plans
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet the physical/sensory demands of the position
Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including $35/hour for up to 790 hours (36 weeks), not to exceed $27,650. The number of hours for the school year will be pro-rated based on the start date.
