Total Compensation : $2,000
Spring Musical Schedule : December 1, 2024- March 31, 2025
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :
The Spring Musical Lighting Designer will work closely with the creative team to effectively create lighting cues that aid in storytelling alongside scenic elements, projections, costumes, and props. The lighting designer will create looks appropriate to each scene, song, and moment in the show.
Former experience working with middle school to high school aged students in a theatrical settingStrong ability and willingness to teach and mentor high school aged students who are interested in theatrical productionStrong knowledge of ETC Eos Family lighting consoles and softwareStrong knowledge of DMX protocols and entertainment lighting systems and configurationsStrong knowledge of LED and Conventional lighting fixturesStrong knowledge of intelligent lighting fixturesStrong knowledge of atmospheric effects such as fog and haze and their proper usesStrong understanding of design principles such as color, shape, form, balance, and movementStrong knowledge of theatrical practices, principles, and terminologyStrong ability to read and analyze scripts and theatrical textStrong ability to conceptualize and realize lighting design based off of scripts / theatrical text and vision of director and creative teamStrong ability to hang, focus, circuit, cable, patch, and restore lighting plotMust have excellent perception of detailMust be able to meet the physical / sensory demands of the position
including but not limited to climbing ladders, working at heights greater than 15 feet, lifting 50 pounds of equipment or supplies, operating motorized theatrical elements, utilizing flashing and strobe lighting, and withstanding loud noises and sounds.
Strong understanding of Google drive, sheets, docs and other word-processing applicationsMust be able to utilize AutoCAD or Vectorworks drafting softwareRequired ClearancesOur Mission :
