Busser / Dishwasher

Position Summary:

As a Busser/Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in supporting the restaurant's operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization in both the dining area and the kitchen. You will be responsible for clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers, and washing dishes to ensure a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

· Table Maintenance: Clear and clean tables promptly after guests depart, including removing dishes, glassware, and utensils, and resetting tables for the next guests.

· Assistance to Servers: Support servers by refilling water glasses, delivering additional utensils or condiments, and assisting with guest requests as needed.

· Dishwashing: Operate the dishwasher to clean dishes, glassware, and utensils efficiently, following proper sanitation procedures.

· Kitchen Support: Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, or assembling dishes, as needed.

· Trash Removal: Empty trash bins regularly and dispose of waste in designated areas, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant.

· Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces, to ensure a tidy and hygienic environment.

· Stocking and Organization: Assist with stocking supplies, such as napkins, straws, and condiments, and maintaining organization in storage areas and supply closets.

· Teamwork: Collaborate with other restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and managers, to ensure smooth operation during service.

Requirements:

· Previous experience as a busser, dishwasher, or in a similar role preferred but not required.

· Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Positive attitude and willingness to assist team members as needed.

· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Demands:

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

· Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

· Stamina to handle repetitive tasks and busy shifts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
