Janitor/Maintenance

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive individual who can perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in commercial and residential settings.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Carry out custodial duties including restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing all duties.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with floor care processes including buffing and waxing.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks such as residential painting or minor repairs.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 10 per week
