HOURS: Full-Time - 12 Month (261 Days), 8 hours per day
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist performs duties for the everyday operation of and assigned projects in the HR Department.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Full-Time - 12 Month (261 Days), 8 hours per day
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide support services to district employees through the HR Department.
2. Maintain Human Resources Information System (Sungard).
3. Review bi-weekly payroll process.
4. Serve as the main point of contact for payroll-related matters.
5. Maintain extracurricular contracts and communication.
6. Prepare monthly Board reports and letters.
7. Proactively audit and upkeep employee data.
8. Provides clerical and other support services to the Director and Assistant Director of HR.
9. Process tuition reimbursement.
10. Answer the telephone and respond to questions and/or refer the caller to the appropriate staff member.
11. Maintain an accurate paper and electronic filing system.
12. Handling unemployment claims
13. Verification of employment
14. Other duties/projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- High school diploma required
- Post-high school professional training preferred
- Minimum five years of experience in a similar position
- Modern office methods of filing and clerical procedures including electronic filing and using Google applications
- Intermediate or above computer skills with applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, Google applications, etc.
- Knowledge of general office procedures and office machines (computer, copier, check scanner and mail machine).
- Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary in oral and written communication
- Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff, co-workers, and outside professional contacts.

- Maintain stamina and concentrate on tasks during the workday

- Need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
