Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, PA is seeking a highly organized, motivated individual to serve as Fire Inspector in the department of Bureau of Fire. The candidate should possess strong organizational, customer service and public relation skills and is computer proficient, as well as having exceptional character and integrity. Under the direction of the Fire Commissioner, Fire Inspector independently performs fire and life safety inspections of township occupancies and performs community outreach as well as supporting fire fighter operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a UCC Class Code Certification 15 Fire Inspector 1 or the ability to obtain certification within six months of date of hire, ProBoard Firefighter 1, PA DOH Basic Vehicle Technician or equivalent, PA EMR Certification, PA EMT Certification preferred and a PA CDL Class B with tanker endorsement. Must have a minimum five (5) years firefighting experience with knowledge of state regulations, Township Ordinances, and the Right to Know Act. The successful candidates must submit to a background check and pre-employment screening.
