The Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join our team. This position is a terrific opportunity for someone to gain additional experience and make a difference in the lives of our clients.
For over 45 forty-five years, our organization has provided mental health and holistic services in northern Manhattan for families, children, adolescents, and other adults including the elderly in a supportive and caring environment. We also have an out-patient and residential substance abuse program as well as a Therapeutic Preschool for 3-5 year olds.
Upper Manhattan Mental Health Center is a Certified National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Under the supervision of the Program Director, the clinical supervisor is responsible for the supervision, evaluation, scheduling, and corrective action of paid and volunteer personnel (interns).
- Provides weekly / monthly clinical supervision to program clinical staff
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly statistics with expected deliverables.
- Provides individual / group counseling and maintains a small high risk caseload
- Review and sign off on Treatment Plans and Psychosocial
- Assists with completion of reports
- Creates / forms linkage agreements with potential referral sources
- Assist with chart reviews and day-to-day clinical oversight of the clinic
- Assist with the development, planning, and implementation of strategies to manage census, and program growth and ensure self-funding and sustainability of the program.
- Regularly review charts to ensure compliance
- Initiate, implement and monitor compliance with evidence-based practices.
- Regularly provide clinical training to clinical services staff and interns.
- Recruitment of clinical interns and development of linkages for referrals, conduct outreach and maintain working relationships with graduate schools and referral sources.
- Facilitates weekly team meetings, including maintaining weekly agenda accounting for admits, discharges, and clients requiring case conferences
- Participates in assigned internal and external meetings
- Completes and / or ensure that STARS is updated at all times
Additional tasks as needed contingent on program needs
Requirements
Education and / or Work Experience Requirements :
Minimum : Three (3) to five (5) years working in a clinical / substance use program or clients experiencing past or current substance use and / or dual diagnoses.
