General Job Description:
The Upper Valley Career Center has an opening for a Student Services Secretary.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Embodies high ethical standards
Promotes positive customer service
Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks
Supports school counselors
Assists program supervisors as needed
Orders supplies when needed
Performs general clerical tasks
Files confidential records and paperwork
Maintains a systematic filing system that supports the efficient retrieval of records
Is the main liaison between UVCC and home schools.
Qualifications:
Possesses high school diploma or GED.
Displays evidence of course work, certification, and/or proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and/or Google Suite Apps.
Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
Demonstrates proficiency in organizing and record-keeping.
Demonstrates proficiency in spelling, proofreading, and the proper use of grammar.
Demonstrates effective customer service.
Meets all mandated health screening requirements.
Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Able to successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.
Maintains compliance with drug-free workplace rules, Board policies, and other applicable procedures/guidelines.
Salary:
Appropriate placement on the Secondary Administrative Salary Schedule to be determined by education and experience. Salary will range from $30,577.00 ( Class IX, Step 0) to $36,679.00 (Class IX, Step 5). Base contract is 210 Days. Minimum workday is 7.5 hours per day exclusive of a lunch break . One-year contract with opportunity for renewal.

Performance Evaluation:
Job performance is evaluated according to policy provisions and contractual agreements adopted by the Upper Valley Career Center.
