Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/and or Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support medical professionals in various healthcare settings, ensuring efficient patient care and satisfaction.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations/ procedures, and treatments
- Administer injections and medications as directed
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures such as drawing blood and running UA's
- Prepare patients for procedures and examinations
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with billing procedures
- Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Utilize health records efficiently
- Do prior authorizations when needed and complete all paperwork promptly
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical clinic is preferred.
- Proficiency in anatomy and physiology knowledge
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to operate medical equipment such as EKG machines, centrifuge, and urinalysis.
- Strong patient service skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Phlebotomy (Required)
*Our clinic loves teaching new skills to our medical personnel if they are eager to learn, but we do not teach blood draws.
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
