Upper Valley Pediatrics is seeking a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner to provide medical services to individuals in our local community. Their duties include conducting physical examinations of patients, creating treatment plans and giving general health advice.
Nurse Practitioner duties and responsibilities
Nurse Practitioners see patients daily to care for their general well-being. A Nurse Practitioner main duties and responsibilities include:
- Complying with all legislation applicable to practicing medicine
- Conducting physical examinations, tests or procedures to diagnose patients
- Maintaining accurate medical records for all patients
- Making recommendations for lifestyle changes to improve the patients’ quality of life
- Prescribing medication, treatment or therapy to patients
- Explaining test results and medical procedures to patients
- Training nurse practitioner students/medical students and other healthcare professionals
- Consulting with other Doctors about the specialized needs of some patients
Part time (2 or 3 days per week plus 1 Saturday morning per month) pediatric or family nurse practitioner needed to join our community pediatric practice. Upper Valley Pediatrics offers comprehensive medical care from birth through young adulthood. We are a designated medical home specializing in preventive care, complex medical conditions, behavioral & psychiatric disorders and adolescent medicine. We are willing to provide teaching and support to a new graduate in order to help build confidence and independence. We would also welcome a seasoned NP.
