- Location: 100% remote
Responsibilities
- Experiment with game design, use rapid prototyping while ensuring that strong architectural and algorithmic decisions are made
- Work closely with art and design teams to create/iterate on gameplay features
- Prototype/iterate on features, be willing to accept/respond to critical feedback
- Support technical excellence across multiple platforms
- Optimize/fix bugs in existing systems
- Contribute ideas towards all aspects of the game's production and development
- Write robust, maintainable, and performant code
- Exp developing games professionally, shipping AAA titles
- Exp developing games in UE4 and/or UE5
- An analytical mind, strong problem-solving skills
- Strong C skills, the ability to code/architect gameplay mechanics, systems, and tools
- Strong math skills
- Well-versed in games and the ability to articulate what is strong/weak about the design of existing games (an interest in online games is preferred)
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- Console/mobile game development experience
- Experience working on a live service game
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic, able to work independently
- Deep interest in games
