Upright Education provides a turnkey platform for community colleges and regional universities to easily launch and monetize specialized bootcamps in fields like software development, data analytics, UX/UI design, and digital marketing. Our part-time, hybrid programs are designed to serve underserved schools and overlooked communities. In addition to technical skills, we offer career services to help learners transition successfully into their new careers.
Position Overview:
The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing our active learners, instructional staff, and program operations to ensure a high-quality educational experience across multiple cohorts. This role balances leadership in learner support and faculty management, contributing to a collaborative and learner-centric environment. The Program Manager will lead initiatives to enhance learner engagement, provide responsive support, and foster a well-prepared, high-performing instructional team.
Key Responsibilities:
Learner Success & Program Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for learners, providing consistent, high-quality support throughout their program.
- Manage escalations related to academic, personal, or logistical challenges, offering timely, effective solutions.
- Proactively identify and address learner concerns, including attendance, progress, and withdrawal requests.
- Facilitate program setup, orientation, and live session support to ensure learners have seamless access to resources and tools.
- Collaborate with Career Services, instructional staff, and other departments to deliver cohesive learner support.
Instructional Team Management:
- Recruit, onboard, and train instructional staff, including instructors and teaching assistants, to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles.
- Oversee the performance and scheduling of instructional staff, providing regular feedback, conducting performance reviews, and supporting professional development.
- Foster a positive team culture that promotes collaboration, best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for instructional staff, providing updates on curriculum changes, program modifications, and scheduling adjustments.
Program Quality Assurance:
- Track and analyze learner engagement, satisfaction, and success metrics to identify trends and implement program improvements.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from learners, instructors, and teaching assistants to enhance the learning experience.
- Ensure instructional staff are aligned with program objectives and deliver consistent, high-quality instruction.
Operations and Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve processes related to learner support, faculty management, and program delivery.
- Implement solutions to streamline onboarding, scheduling, and communication, incorporating automation tools where applicable.
- Support the ongoing enhancement of communication and support tools such as Zoom, Discord, Slack and our Learning Management system (Canvas).
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with departments such as Career Services, Product, and Admissions to ensure cohesive program delivery.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams to align recruitment, training, and program updates with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in learner success, program management, or faculty/staff management roles, ideally within an educational or training environment.
- Proven experience in recruitment, team management, and performance evaluation.
- Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage program operations, staff oversight, and learner support concurrently.
- Familiarity with remote learning tools (Zoom, Discord, Slack) and knowledge of technical bootcamp subjects (software development, UX/UI design, data analytics, or digital marketing) is preferred.
- Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team.
- Experience with automation tools and process optimization is a plus.
- This role requires in-person attendance at our SoHo office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
