As a Retail Sales Associate at The UPS Store, you will be the face of our store, delivering exceptional customer service while assisting with a variety of retail services, including shipping, packaging, printing, and mailbox rentals. You will play a vital role in driving sales, handling transactions, and helping customers find the right solutions for their needs. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Greet customers with a positive, friendly attitude and provide excellent service.
- Answer customer questions and provide information about UPS Store services, including shipping, packaging, printing, and mailbox rentals.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
Sales & Transactions
- Process transactions accurately, handling cash, credit, and other payment methods.
- Promote and explain various store services to help customers choose the best options for their needs.
- Upsell services and inform customers about store promotions when appropriate.
Shipping & Packaging
- Help customers select the proper packaging and shipping methods for their items.
- Pack items securely and ensure correct labeling for shipment.
- Maintain and operate packaging and shipping equipment as needed.
Print & Copy Services
- Assist customers with printing, copying, faxing, and scanning services.
- Ensure accurate processing of print jobs and maintain the print area in an organized manner.
Mail and Parcel Management
- Assist with mailbox rentals and manage customer mail and parcels.
- Ensure the accurate handling of packages and notify customers when their items arrive.
Store Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Assist with store opening and closing tasks as required.
- Follow safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems and office software.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 40 lbs.
