What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treasury Accounting Intern position at UPS?
UPS is seeking an energetic and dynamic Treasury Intern for a full-time internship (appx. 30-40 hours/week) for a six (6) month term. The Corporate Treasury Intern will participate in various accounting specific assignments to gain exposure in the UPS Corporate Treasury Function. Responsibilities and Duties
- Research various accounting guidance and codification changes (specific to Treasury)
- Assists in reconciling financial data between various treasury management systems
- Executes various cash accounting tasks
- Utilizes quantitative models to illustrate financial performance
Knowledge and Skills
- Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Experience reading/forecasting financial statements
- Demonstrates strict attention to detail
- Ability to work independently on projects with minimal guidance
- Ability to work well in a team structure
- Demonstrates good time management skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Excel)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
