An established, fast-growing multi-location retailer is seeking a Finance Process Optimization Manager to take ownership of improving financial processes, strengthening controls, and driving efficiency across departments. Role Overview:
In this position, you’ll be the key connection point between finance systems, departmental teams, and leadership. You'll ensure financial data moves accurately and efficiently through systems like POS, ERP, and AP automation platforms, while constantly looking for ways to streamline workflows and improve reporting accuracy.
What You’ll Do:
- Simplify & Strengthen Workflows: Review current transaction processes across departments, identify bottlenecks, and design streamlined workflows that reduce errors and increase efficiency.
- Optimize System Integration: Ensure smooth data transfers between platforms, reconciling records across systems such as point-of-sale, ERP, and AP software to maintain data integrity.
- Standardize Procedures: Develop and implement clear operating procedures and financial protocols, including KPIs to measure process effectiveness and adherence.
- Drive Process Improvements: Continuously assess financial processes, recommend improvements, and lead initiatives that improve operational agility and financial accuracy.
- Lead Cross-Functional Projects: Manage and coordinate projects related to financial processes, ensuring alignment between departments and on-time delivery.
- Mitigate Risks: Conduct financial risk assessments, identify potential vulnerabilities, and implement solutions to safeguard operations.
- Vendor Collaboration: Partner with third-party providers to optimize external systems' performance and align them with internal process improvements.
- Communicate Insights: Use financial data to generate reports and recommendations for senior leadership, driving data-informed decisions and long-term strategic goals.
What You’ll Bring:
- Solid understanding of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and general ledger functions.
- Proven experience in workflow design, process mapping, and leveraging process improvement software.
- Ability to lead projects and manage priorities in a fast-paced, multi-department environment.
- Strong grasp of GAAP principles, financial controls, and risk management.
- Skilled communicator, capable of building relationships across teams and presenting insights to leadership.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP systems, POS systems, and financial software platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial process improvement, or related roles—preferably in a multi-unit or retail environment.
- Direct experience with process documentation, workflow optimization, and financial systems integration
Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
