A client in the Cincinnati area is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Controller to play a critical role in driving financial insight, cost performance, and strategic planning at a leading manufacturing facility. In this role, you will collaborate closely with executive leadership, providing key financial guidance on cost modeling, capacity planning, and operational efficiencies. You’ll be both a strategic thinker and hands-on contributor, influencing decision-making across multiple levels of the organization to optimize manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost analysis and reporting, tracking key manufacturing KPIs such as material variances, labor efficiency, and production costs.
- Partner with Corporate Finance and Operations to support month-end close, ensuring accurate reporting of manufacturing variances.
- Provide insights on budget deviations and cost trends to drive operational improvements.
- Utilize data modeling to support strategic decisions on production transfers, make-vs-buy scenarios, and facility planning.
- Standardize costing structures between plant operations and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain labor and overhead rate forecasts for strategic planning.
- Identify and resolve system transaction discrepancies affecting costing accuracy.
- Drive process improvements within the ERP system to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2 years of ERP/MRP system experience.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 F&O and Business Intelligence tools.
- Strong background in cost accounting and manufacturing variance analysis.
- Experience working in a multi-line manufacturing company with $75M revenue.
- Proficiency in standard costing and process optimization.
