Job Title: Power Plant Maintenance Technician
Location: Mifflintown, PA
Job Type: 6 months contract with possible extension
Salary: $28-$35 Per hour (No additional benefits) (with High Voltage experience)
Job Overview:
We are hiring a Solar PV Technician to maintain and operate utility-scale solar power plants. This includes monitoring systems via SCADA, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on AC/DC systems, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor PV plant operations via SCADA
- Troubleshoot and repair High Voltage electrical components
- Perform preventive maintenance on power systems
- Follow safety protocols (LOTO, JHA)
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
- 1-4 years in electrical or solar maintenance
- Knowledge of High Voltage equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Electrical certifications a plus
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work in various temperatures, and wear PPE
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Experience:
- High voltage: 3 years (Required)
- Electrical troubleshooting: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driving License (Required)
