What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network/systems administrator position at Upskilled Evolution?
Salary : $75k-$105k
- The Systems Administrator will manage specific client IT environments including MS Exchange e-mail, file / print, Office 365, hardware and unique software, VMWare virtual servers, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
- Manage Microsoft Windows servers and VM (Hyper-V) Environments.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot moderately complex application server hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Knowledge of Azure and Office 365 administration
- Knowledge of Linux
- Proficient understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy and DFS.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2008-2016 / Windows 7 / 10
- Support the installation, configuration, and operation of the Windows server environment and provide in-depth technical expertise.
- Experience with MS Exchange
- VPN troubleshooting
- Manage Microsoft patch deployments.
- Strong scripting knowledge a plus.
- Securing systems to (and maintaining compliance with) appropriate cybersecurity policies.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Perform system backups and recovery
- Resolving escalated Help Desk issues.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recover
- Absolutely most have GREAT written and verbal skills and ability to keep excellent logs, inventory, notes and documentation!
