We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Application Processing Manager to support a government agency's Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). This role is critical in managing the high-volume, end-to-end application processing lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with program requirements.
Position Type: Full-Time (Contingent upon award)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the receipt, tracking, and validation of GRFP applications
- Manage and optimize workflows using application tracking and case management systems
- Ensure timely processing of applications and resolution of any data integrity issues
- Coordinate with internal teams for eligibility checks and compliance reviews
- Support system configuration, user access, and troubleshooting
- Monitor and report on processing metrics, quality assurance, and performance trends
- Implement improvements in automation and workflow efficiency
- Support the surge period of application intake (October to January)
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in application processing management or operations
- Strong expertise in application tracking systems, case management software, and workflow automation tools
- Experience in managing or supporting federal grants, preferably in an academic or research setting
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
