What are the responsibilities and job description for the Autoclaving Tech position at Upson Regional Medical Center?
Performs a variety of tasks related to the operation of Autoclaving and Operating Room under the guidance of the Charge Nurse and the Head Nurse OR/RR/CS. This includes instrument preparation, sterilization, storage and distribution as well as operation and maintenance of sterilizers and documentation of such. Daily responsibilities to OR as requested. Age specific as it applies to shaving adult/geriatric patients and transporting infants to geriatrics. Will participate in a rotating weekend/call schedule for the department.
