What are the responsibilities and job description for the Echocardiography Technician II position at Upson Regional Medical Center?
Technician will provide quality cardiology exams including; Echocardiography, Carotid Doppler and lower extremity arterial/venous studies. In addition, may be asked on occasion to perform 12 lead EKG, 24-48 hr Holter Monitor and 30-day event monitor placement. May also be asked on occasion to prepare patient and assist provider performing treadmill stress tests when needed. Will treat patients of varying ages neonates-geriatrics. Completion of or ability to complete a basic cardiac rhythm course is necessary.
Requirements: Associate's Degree in Ultrasound, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field. Certificate of completion of Vascular Studies course and Registry in Cardiac Sonography required. Must have two years experience as an Echo Tech and one year experience in vascular studies. Prefer more than 5 years experience in both Echo Tech and Vascular Studies. (May consider for Echo Tech I if the applicant does not have the Vascular Studies course completed.)
