What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST position at Upson Regional Medical Center?
Performs clinical laboratory analysis on patient specimens and necessary quality control procedures. May be called upon to draw blood on patients of all ages, from neonates to elderly. Knows policies and procedures and adheres to all; knows the importance of age specific needs as defined in the age specific competency checklist. Required : Must have at least an Associates degree from an accredited school in Laboratory Science, Clinical Lab Science, or related field. Must have certification as MLT or MT through an accredited agency.
