What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Practice Manager position at Upson Regional Medical Center?
The Physician Practice Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the outpatient clinic on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of all operations. Initiates process improvement projects at the department level. Ensures all patients/visitors to the practice, whether by phone or in person, are treated with courtesy, providing and excellent customer experience. Serves as a positive role model as an ambassador for the Upson Healthcare System. Appropriately manages staffing to meet patient needs, maintains a fiscally responsible budget, implements workflow that enables the achievement of collection goals, and demonstrates initiative to function within a team environment. Willing to accept additional responsibilities as business needs dictate.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, 3 or more years medical office setting or similar customer service related experience, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and medical terminology knowledge. Prefer 5 or more years in Healthcare office/business office environment, insurance, medical coding/billing, or patient financial services experience. Prior experience managing within a team environment preferred.
