What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential ABA Instructor position at Upstate Caring Partners?
The ABA Instructor of Upstate Caring Partners will lead the quality of residential applied behavior analysis services for individuals with IDD quality of autism services, agency education and collaborative partnership initiatives for the purpose of strengthening the infrastructure of supports available to children and adults with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities and their families.
Core Responsibilities
- Administers, conducts, and evaluates the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and techniques.
- Conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral treatment.
- Develops individualized goals and objectives for home-, community-, and center-based programs and designs behavior support plans.
- Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented.
- Teaches program staff on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans.
- Conducts training and consultation to residential programs or other programs as directed by AVP of Applied Behavior Services.
- Volunteer and demonstrate good community citizenship by participating in community activities.
- Demonstrate unwavering commitment to the people we support.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field.
- Acceptance into BCBA course sequence within first 6 months of employment and Enrollment in BCBA course sequence within first 12 months of employment
- Or has completed BCBA coursework and is obtaining supervision hours.
- Must complete all course work required along with all required supervision hours and successfully pass the certification exam within 3 years of the initial enrollment.
- 2 Years relevant experience in a related field.
- Travel is required. Must have or be willing to obtain a valid New York State Driver’s License.
