What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP / CFY) School Age Services position at Upstate Caring Partners?
Pay $70,015/annually - 12-month school calendar!
The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible to evaluate and assess program participants, educate individuals and team members, complete required documentation, communicate with other health care professionals on the program participants' IPP/IEP, assist with departmental maintenance and supplies, participate in Agency activities, assist in orientation to the department and assist with equipment adaptation.

We have opening in our speech department and have on-site supervisor who will be able to offer a very supportive CFY experience! Our student population consists of individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities. This is a special education program rooted in applied behavior analysis strategies as a best practice to improve quality outcomes for our students. We provide safe, dignified, and effective services through the use of evidence-based practices.
SLPs as communication specialists focus on:
- Building functional communication so that our students can fully access their education;
- Communicate their wants and needs;
- Excel academically;
- Build confidence and social emotional well-being;
- SLPs also address any feeding issues and participate in ongoing observation/monitoring in this area.
Qualifications
- Masters in Speech-Language Pathology and completed supervised clinical work.
- Valid NYS (or willing to obtain) Drivers License.
