Pay $58,000 - $65,000/annually
The Mental Health Professional is responsible to promote the individual’s recovery, promote consumer involvement, provide psychotherapy through individual and group work, and ensure compliance with Governmental and Agency Regulations and operating standards.
The MHP is responsible for the completion of records and reports, act as a liaison with other Divisions/Agencies, provide support and consultation, collaborate with consumers and significant others, serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, and provide crisis intervention. We provide both mental health, substance use disorder, and other needed services in an outpatient treatment setting for children, families, and adults in the community.
The MHP is responsible for maintaining knowledge in and gaining proficiency in the use of program recommended Evidence Based Practices.

Core Responsibilities
- Conduct screening/clinical assessments, establish diagnoses, treatment recommendations and treatment planning for adults, children, and families.
- Promote the consumer’s recovery by coordinating, developing, and implementing, in partnership with the individual, the Interim Treatment Process, development of a Crisis Plan, and to support goals and objectives established to mitigate crisis.
- Promote the involvement of family, significant others, or other collaterals in the recovery process.
- Provide individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention.
- Provide input regarding linkage, referral, and case management as clinically indicated.
- Documentation as per the Department of Health, Department of Mental Hygiene, or Insurance guidelines and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Serve as a member of a Multi-Disciplinary Clinical Team.
- Participate in agency or community activities that may include meetings, trainings, committees, and community events.
- Utilize Evidence Based Practices as recommended by program clinical leadership.
- Master’s Degree in mental health, psychology/counseling or social work or related licensable field required.
- Hold a clinical license or license eligible within 6-months of employment.
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
