The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall administration and efficient daily operations of the branch. This includes ensuring excellent member service, managing lending and product sales, maintaining security and safety, and adhering to Upstate Federal's policies and procedures. The Branch Manager also coaches staff to enhance their opportunities, strengths, goals, and career development on a monthly basis and as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
General:
- Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Schedule staff and approve time-off requests.
- Resolve member concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor progress towards accomplishing branch goals.
- Coach and train branch staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the branch.
- Provide backup support for staff as needed.
- Ensure internal controls and dual controls are in place and followed.
- Market to potential new members and manage relationships with existing members.
- Schedule and attend community meetings, sign-ups, promotions, and functions.
- Perform minor branch facilities maintenance as needed.
- Present budget requests for branch needs.
- Review and account for staff timesheets and overtime.
- Market to new SEG’s and help set up new SEG’s.
- Provide notary services.
- Assign tasks related to the electronic sign and ensure messages are up-to-date.
- Double-check rate board for accuracy following changes.
- Image documents into efichency when necessary.
- Conduct weekly staff meetings to review performance and set goals.
- Prepare and submit manager’s reports.
- Print and review financial reports.
- Update the lobby report monthly.
- Review General Ledgers (GLs) for discrepancies monthly.
- Conduct branch alarm tests.
- Conduct annual employee performance reviews.
- Meet all goals specified in the branch scorecard and adapt as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Lending/Accounts:
- The Branch Manager should not be the primary lender but should oversee the lending process and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Answer phones and address member needs effectively.
- Quote loan values, payment calculations, interest rates, and terms.
- Provide quotes for new and used auto values, credit life and disability insurance costs, GAP premiums, extended warranty costs, and loan-associated fees.
- Take and evaluate loan requests from members.
- Process and disburse loan funds if approved.
- Ensure loans are submitted for quality control (QC).
- Quote loan payoffs and attempt to recover loans.
- Provide quotes for savings product rates.
- Open new savings, checking, and certificate accounts for members.
- Submit new and changed payroll deduction and net pay deposit requests.
- Answer member questions regarding their accounts or policies/procedures.
- Process and verify wire transfers.
- Cross-sell products and services to meet member needs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Proficiency in mathematical calculations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, calculators, and other office machines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to remain stationary in a sitting position approximately 50% of the time.
- Constant operation of computers and office machinery such as calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
- Effective communication skills.
- Occasional lifting of items weighing 10 lbs.
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with occasional walking around the branch and interacting with staff.
Travel:
- Limited travel for routine manager meetings. Rarely requires overnight travel.
