What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Mortgage Lending Officer position at Upstate Federal Credit Union?
We are looking for a highly motivated Residential Mortgage Lending Officer to join our team at Upstate Federal Credit Union.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, developing new relationships, and maintaining existing ones. As a Residential Mortgage Lending Officer, your primary responsibilities will include answering phone calls and assisting member needs, quoting loan values, payment calculations, interest rates, and terms, taking and evaluating mortgage loan requests, processing and disbursing loan funds if approved, filing necessary paperwork to exact mortgage liens, making sure loans are being submitted for QC, quoting loan payoffs/attempting to recover loans, opening new accounts for new applicants, submitting new and changed payroll deduction and net pay deposit requests, answering member questions regarding their accounts or our policies/procedures, cross-selling products and services, providing backup staff support, tracking mortgage lien filings, maintaining Quality Control of new mortgages, providing notary services, and viewing/visiting properties for real estate purchases or refinances.
To excel in this role, you must have excellent member service skills, mathematical skills, strong communication and organizational skills, and strong computer, telephone, calculator, and other office machine knowledge. You should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment, make sound decisions, and be familiar with regulations, policies, and procedures.
