Purpose:
The Teller is responsible for receiving and paying out funds, accurately keeping records of money, checks, and other financial transactions. This role involves providing high-quality service to members, handling account services, and ensuring compliance with all operational and security procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Provide quality member service at the teller window, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Answer phones to assist members, provide requested information, or route calls as needed.
- Process share and share draft deposits, verify cash and endorsements, collect proper identification for cash back, and issue transaction receipts.
- Examine deposited checks, determine funds availability according to federal regulations, and complete hold notices if applicable.
- Identify and report possible counterfeit currency.
- Issue money orders and cashier’s checks.
- Accept loan payments, verify amounts, and issue payment receipts.
- Process and post incoming mail and night deposits.
- Balance cash drawer daily, with periodic balancing throughout the day.
- Address and resolve any account warnings with members.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Process return mail and address changes (South Branch only).
- Ensure teller and lobby areas are neat and clean.
- Process check orders and ATM/Debit card requests.
- Distribute incoming faxes in a timely manner.
- Scan checks daily and image documents into eFichency.
- Replenish transaction request forms as needed.
- Follow up to ensure all opening and closing procedures are followed.
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Provide backup support to the vault in the Head Teller's absence.
- Assist with member disputes and process wire transactions.
- Assist with scanning documents for lending and accounts

Physical Demands:
- Requires bending, stooping, limited lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to remain stationary in a sitting position up to 20% of the time.
- Frequent operation of computers and office machinery such as calculators, copy machines, and faxes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 10 lbs.
